In loving memory of John James “Jim” Bailey, 74 years, who passed away on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at Health Sciences North. Beloved son of John James and Inez (O’Brien) Bailey both predeceased. Loving brother of Robert (Lucy) and Thomas (Eileen). Cherished uncle of Tommy, Christine, Sarah, and great uncle to Michael, Madison, Mya, and Benjamin. Close friend to Bertholde Carter. A lifelong resident of Sudbury. Jim worked at Inco for 31 years. A devout Roman Catholic, he faithfully attended Our Lady of Hope Church. A graduate of Cambrian College, he loved nature and wildlife. He spent many happy times at his camp on French River. He had many interests which included fishing, travelling, astronomy, reading and photography. Jim will be remembered as a devoted uncle and great uncle. The family expresses their appreciation to the doctors and staff at HSN North ICU especially Dr. Saruk, Dr. Michaud and Dr. Bertrand for their excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the HSN Cardiac Unit, our Lady of Hope or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather from 4-8pm Friday. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Hope,591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 at 10:30am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with interment in the family plot at the Sudbury Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the HSN-Cardiac Unit, Our Lady of Hope Church, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
