Born July 30, 1938 in Timmins, Ontario – Died December 7, 2021 in Toronto, Ontario.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John McDougall on Tuesday December 7, 2021 after a 6 month courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
John will be greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Margaret (née Matthie), his daughter Leigh Doucet (David), his son, David McDougall and his four grandsons: Andrew Morris (Erika), Matthew Morris (Ginger) and twins Brennan and Cameron Doucet. John also leaves behind his youngest sister, Sandra McCuaig (Glen) and is predeceased by his middle sister Bonnie MacDonald and her husband Wally as well as his brother-in-law John Matthie (Sylvia). John will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews: Kelly Sonnell, Kathy Shago (Jeff), Janice MacDonald, Ian Matthie (Jennifer) and Jennifer Matthie (Tom) as well as all his extended family and friends.
John started his career in the early 60’s at Rolph-Clark-Stone Ltd. in Toronto followed by 19 years at Nestlé’s Canada. John then joined the sales team at Pillsbury and became their National Sales Manager. He and Margaret raised their children in Scarborough and after 24 years, retired to Cobourg Ontario where they lived for the next 25 years. John and Margaret returned to Toronto two years ago, to be closer to their family.
We would like to thank the Palliative Team of doctors and nurses at Trillium Mississauga, the incredible LINH team of visiting nurses and the exceptional staff at Dorothy Ley Hospice in Etobicoke. Condolences can be made through www.turnerporter.ca
