1945-2021
The passing of John Edward Ellsworth, husband of Cheryl
Ellsworth, occurred peacefully surrounded by his family at his
residence in Pocologan on May 3, 2021. Born in Saint John NB on May
28, 1945, he was a son of the late Henry “Harry” and
Gertrude (Malone) Ellsworth. A loving husband, father, grandfather and
brother, in addition to his wife Cheryl, John is survived by his sons:
Shawn (Kathryn) Ellsworth of Milton ON and Ian (Stephanie) Ellsworth
of Victoria BC; his grandchildren: Elizabeth Ellsworth and Alex
Ellsworth; siblings: Mary Ellsworth of Saint John NB, Anne (Daniel)
Szymanowski of New Hampshire and Patricia Ellsworth of Fredericton NB;
and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, John was
predeceased by one brother: Paul Ellsworth.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral
home with visiting on Wednesday from 2-5 pm. Mass of Christian Burial
will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Catholic Church, Blacks
Harbour NB on Thursday at 11:00 am with Father Rolando Suplido
officiating followed by the interment in the parish cemetery. Due to
limited seating at the funeral service, those wishing to attend are
asked to call the funeral home at 755-3533 to reserve a seat. In
John’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated by the family.
