REID, JACK (JOHN) – Per his request, passed away peacefully at home on Friday October 29, 2021, at the age of 73, surrounded by his girls.
Predeceased by his parents; Joseph Reid, and Violet King. Jack leaves behind his loving wife, of 52 years, Darlene. He will be missed by his daughters; Dianna, Jody, and Jackie, forever remembered by his grandchildren; Joey, Katie, and Jake. Survived by his siblings; Sharon Taylor (Ron), Valerie Legvari (Don), and Little Rod King (Nat), as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, as well as many others that called him “Uncle Jack”, and his extended family in Nova Scotia who he loved dearly.
Jack retired after 40 years as a custodian with the Board of Education, he touched the lives of many students, many whom kept in touch with him over the years. He loved to be surrounded by his family and friends, whether it be at Round Lake, or in the basement of his home. He had a passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing and hunting. His heart and infectious smile always had a way of making everyone he met feel welcomed and special.
