many years before changing careers to a truck driver with Curran and
Briggs. However, John never lost his love of the land and
could often be found lending a hand to his farming neighbors. A
natural mechanic, John loved to tinker with anything that had a motor
and was happiest when he was helping others. Growing up it was a
common sight to see friends and neighbors dropping in and seeking his
advice or dropping off a lawnmower, chainsaw or even a tractor for
“John to fix!”. He never turned anyone
away and I’m sure he’s finding many heavenly
machines to tinker with today! Resting at Moase Funeral Home,
Summerside. A private family visitation and funeral service will be
held at the Salvation Army Church, Summerside. Interment will take
place in the Searletown Cemetery, Searletown. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be
appreciated.
