DOUGLAS, John Albert “Bert” –
Passed away at Campbell House Hospice on Thursday February 25, 2021 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (nee Barwick) Douglas. Loving father of Scott. He will be missed by his brother Bill (Diane) Douglas, niece Tammy and nephews Carl, Aaron and Mark and families. Predeceased by his sister Doris Michelin (Terry) and nephew Santo. Bert had met the love of his life, Marjorie at the Curling rink and were married for 53 years. Bert lived on the family farm in Badjeros, operating a cow calf operation. In his spare time, he enjoyed a good game of cards, curling at the rink and baseball. Upon retirement, he took an interest in golf. Arrangements have been entrusted to Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Life will be held in the spring. Remembrances of Bert may be made to Hospice Georgian Triangle – Campbell House, Canadian Diabetes or Emmanuel Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by his family.
