John Alston Saturday December 11th 2021

John Powell Alston, age 72, born March 25, 1949, passed away after a three-year battle with cancer December 11, 2021. John earned a degree from Ryerson and worked for 32 years at the LCBO before retiring in 2012.
John had many interests which he pursued in his retirement. John was a gifted photographer, a skilled woodworker, a cycling enthusiast, and an avid reader.
John leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Pamela, his son Geoffrey (Lisa), daughter Lindsay (Jess), as well as his three grandson’s, Nash, Luc, and Jamie. John also leaves behind his beloved siblings June (Doug, d. 2019) and Jim (Laura) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. John enriched the lives of his many friends and his family with his smile, quick wit, and his caring heart. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Friends will be received for visitation on Wednesday December 15, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. at Fawcett Funeral Home – Collingwood Chapel As capacity limits remain, please utilize the RSVP system (blue button) to schedule your visitation time. A private funeral service will be held on Thursday December 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. the service will be available by livestream.
