Obituary of Johanna Josephine McGee
1937 – 2021
Died peacefully February 17, 2021, after several years of illness.
She will be reunited with her dearly departed husband George McGee.
Johanna was born in Thorold, Ontario. She spent her younger years as
a caregiver in the community. She enjoyed baking and cooking.
She became a resident of Grace’s Victorian Senior Lodging in 2013
where she lived until 2018. Having no remaining family to support her
needs – the community of Port Colborne quickly filled in the gaps for
Johanna, where she was lovingly received.
Johanna immediately became part of the family at Grace’s Victorian
Seniors Lodging. She could always be seen smiling and was a true joy
to be around.
Port Cares had also been instrumental in the care and supports
Johanna received through these last eight years.
During this past year, Johanna has been compassionately cared for by
Crescent Park Lodge, in Fort Erie until the time of her death.
In the arms of the Angel, Fly away from here.
I know you are in good hands now.
We love you and will miss you.
Rest in Peace!
