Joël Hunt
September 8, 1989 – September 6, 2021
With profound sadness we announce the passing of Joël Christopher Douglas Hunt on September 6, 2021 in a fatal motor vehicle accident.
He leaves behind his greatest love and most adored, treasured and biggest cheerleader, Hannah Jane Hunt (8.5 yrs). He will always be near you Hannah Boo (Chh-boogeys) – always!
He leaves behind his mom Sheryl, who was always in his corner fighting for his mental health and happiness. I love you and I know you love me.
He leaves behind his dearest, most cherished and beloved best friend Megan Jane York , a love that bore us sweet Hannah.
He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Ashley Barbour that was part of making his last year happy, fun and full of love and hope – thank you.
To all that knew him his Intense Presence burnt bright and hard. To all that loved him – thank you. He loved you all as well.
His family although far away that knew him… Grandma Rose Figures (deceased), Barb ‘Baba’ Hunt, Grandpa ‘Doctor’ Hunt, Gramma Donna, Aunty Lisa (Matteo). Uncle Larry and Aunt Lori (childhood cousins Cody, Kyle and Lauren) and other family members and cousins.
To my tribe that grew up with us: Sherri-Berrie (Brodie), Tess Daoust (Damon), Aunty Collene (Becky and Jessica), Dore Scoville (Brooke), Aunty Joanne and Todd (Dezi and Gye) and Connie B (David) and Saydie Koral.
May you all treasure your memories, share your stories and above all love.
In lieu of donations, help your loved ones through their challenges of mental health and addiction – we are all in this together.
And to Hannah’s growing tribe (Gye, Corey and Candis, Liam and Scott M) we will create a confident and loving young girl in Joël’s honour.
