Obituary for
Jocelyne Lauzon-Denis (Lafrenière)
It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing at home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at the age 62 years. Beloved wife of Raymond Denis. Loving mother of Luc Lauzon, Julie-Anne Lauzon (Chad Harvey) and Christelle (Tim) Card and stepmother of Jason (Francine) Denis and Lucas Denis all of Timmins. Cherished grandmother of Erica, Whitney, Mason Card, Abigail, Danika Lauzon and Jeffrey, Ethan Denis. She is survived by her brother Ron (Sue) Lafrenière. She also leaves her brothers and sisters-in-law Ghislain Denis, Ghislaine Denis, Normande (Viateur) Landry, Alain (Denise) Denis, Jacynthe Denis (Guy Mousseau), Germain Denis (Chantale Desbiens), Martine Denis (Regis Bergeron) and Daniel Denis as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous friends. Jocelyne is predeceased by her husband Robert “Bob” Lauzon (2005), her parents Lena (2018), Florent Lafrenière (1995) as well as her brothers and sisters-in-law Jean-Paul, Francine (Michel Charron), Louisette (Denis Vignola), Suzanne, Denise, Nancy and Sonia.
She worked with Red Cross/Care partners for 26 years. She enjoyed skiing and cycling in her spare time. The family would like to thank Dr. Gillies, Dr. Schwertfeger, Marnie Chisholm, the nurses from Bayshore who came to the house, Trevor from Homecare who organized everything. Also Linda, Carol, Janet and Jeannie from homecare who gave excellent care and Tammy from the Care partners.
Due to the current restrictions, the family will have a private funeral service. Interment of her ashes will take place at a later date this summer. Remembrance donations to Care Partners of Timmins and the ALS would be greatly appreciated. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
