Peacefully at Extendicare in Haliburton on Tuesday evening, January 26, 2021. Kathleen “Joanne” Mahy (nee Kew), formerly of R.R. #8 Owen Sound, at the age of 85 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Frank Mahy (2013). Proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Edna and Alfred Kew. Joanne was fondly known around Owen Sound as the “Egg Lady”; regularly seen at both Owen Sound and Keady Markets as well as delivering eggs to families and restaurants throughout Grey Bruce.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Gammon, the amazing staff and volunteers of Extendicare Haliburton for the care, dedication, attention and love shown to “Gramma Jo”.
Interment in Leith Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Motor Neuron Diseases Clinic (MND Clinic), London Health Sciences or the Heart and Stroke Foundation as your expression of sympathy and may be made through the Brian E.
