Joan Marie Bankes (nee Caley)
1943-2021
Peacefully, surrounded
by family on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at LHSC, Victoria Hospital, Joan
Bankes passed away at the age of 78.
Beloved wife of 58
years to Harold Bankes. Loving mother of Jim (Nicola), Jeff (Gillian)
and Julieann. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren of Alex,
Stephanie, Emily (Jon), Sara and Jordan. Greatly missed by her dearest
great grandchildren Addi and Noah. Sister of Greta Wilson and Lois
Lightfoot.
Joan was a
kind spirit with a great love for her family and Elvis Presley.
Friends will be
received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648
Hamilton Rd., (1 block east of Egerton St.), on Tuesday, August 24,
2021 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in
the Evans Chapel on Wednesday, August 25,
2021 at 2:00 p.m. Interment in Dorchester Union
Cemetery.
