Joan Isabelle Urquhart Monday April 19th 2021

Joan Isabelle Urquhart (nee Baker) passed away peacefully in her 92nd year at theThe Villa St. Joseph du Lac on Monday April 19, 2021. Joan was born in Sand Beach to Joseph and Elizabeth Baker. Joan was predeceased by her siblings, Gordon, Martha, and her twin brother Joseph. She is survived by her brother Charles. At an early age Joan left Yarmouth, met her husband George and settled in Sudbury Ontario where they lived for many years. We would like to thank Joan’s caregiver Joanne Sheppard for the kindness, compassion and companionship shown to Joan over the last several years. Joanne made it possible for Joan to continue going out for drives to the lighthouse, have her hair done, have lunch or just stop at Tim Hortons. On days when Joanne wasn’t able to take Joan out she would arrive with a Tim’s coffee and Joan’s absolute favorite, a lobster sandwich. We would also like to thank the staff at the Villa, especially everyone in Sarah Corning for the exceptional care provided to Joan.
Interment will take place at a later date.
