Jim passed peacefully surrounded by family, at the Bridlewood Manor, Brockville on Wednesday November 24, 2021, at the age of 94 years. Survived by his brothers Arthur (Jean) and Jack (Joan), his sister Molly (Ted) and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Predeceased by his parents Garnet and May Bennett, his sister Alice and brothers Fred (Betty), Dwight (Erma) and nephew James. Longtime resident of Spencerville West, dairy farmer, singer, local hockey supporter, past member of the Spencerville Fair Board and active member of the Spencerville United Church. A special thank you to the staff of Bridlewood Manor and Kelly Thompson of Bayshore Nursing, for their care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Spencerville United Church, 16 Centre Street, Spencerville on Tuesday November 30, 2021 from 12 noon until the Service time at 2 pm, followed by interment at Spencerville Union Cemetery. Following Covid Protocols all attendees must provide proof of being Fully Vaccinated. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP at the bottom of Jim’s funeral home webpage. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spencerville United Church, Kemptville District Hospital or Winchester District Memorial Hospital.
