Jill Black,
60, of Moncton passed away on Monday October 25, 2021 at the Dr.
Georges L. Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in
Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy
(McFarlane) Black.
Jill was an
accomplished equestrian showing her horses and winning many awards.
She loved all animals and later moved to Moncton becoming a
professional dog groomer. During this time, she also specialized in
cat grooming. Jill taught at the local grooming academy and also
completed her truck and transport course. She worked for several years
in special care homes and loved to help others. Jill loved to spend
time with her friends and family. She was a strong, independent women
and raised her children on her own.
Jill was very
proud of all her accomplishments in life, her five children and nine
grandchildren being the most important ones.
Jill is
survived and immensely missed by her children, Rosalie Black (Pat
Geraghty), William Black, Myka Black, Lance Burpee, Lycia Burpee
(Jessie Porter); grand children Alyssia, Jade, Everleigh, Nia, Porsha,
Carter, Brooklyn, Bentley, and Kali; sister Kim Black (Gordon
Barrett); and nephew Dustin Black.
A special

A Graveside
service will take place at the Douglas Rural Cemetery, Fredericton NB,
on Monday November 1, 2021 at 1:00 pm.
Arrangements under the professional care and direction
have been entrusted to Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995).

Jill, flowers can be sent to 61 Avondale drive, Riverview NB prior to
her burial or you can make a donation to The Canadian Cancer Society.
