Jessie “Jean” (Brown) Hazzard’s earthly journey has ended and her eternal one has begun on Sunday, October 3rd, 2021, at the age of 91.
She served as a pastor’s wife alongside her cherished husband, the late Rev. Richard Hazzard.
Loving mother of Kathryn (Hank) Algra, Mary Lynn (Don) Sebele, Alan (Gigi) Hazzard and Laurie (John) Maccio.
Devoted grandmother of Marcy (Jason), Michelle (Matthew), Melanie (Adam), Melise (Kevin), Julie (Jeff), Cheryl (Julius), James (Rebecca), Richard (Caryn), Ryan (Michelle), Vincent (Stephanie) and Lucas. Step-grandmother of the late Bart, Chad, Cory, Paul, Faith and Hope and all of their families.
Dearly missed by her 36 great-grandchildren.
Fondly remembered by her siblings Bonnie (Donald) Stuckless and Golda (John) Woodrow.
Her siblings-in-law Adeline Brown, Betty Brown and Lyle Burnard.
Predeceased by her parents Wilford and Phoebe (Bullock) Brown. Brothers Eldon Brown and David Brown. Sisters Mary (Walter) Huey and Penny Burnard.
Jean was deeply cherished by all of her extended Hazzard family including many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, and a Godly woman. One of her greatest joys was spending time at the cottage with her family, sharing and making memories. She also embraced wonderful experiences, personally touching the lives of so many people in her service to the Lord.
Visitation will be held at the LakePoint Family Church, Leamington, Ontario, on Friday, October 8th, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. The funeral service to honour Jean’s life will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Brown officiating.
Anyone wishing to attend the visitation or service must RSVP by using the links below or by calling the funeral home (519-396-2701) between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 p.m.. All attendees must wear a mask and respect physical distancing protocols.
Final resting place, Greenhill Cemetery, Kingsville, Ontario.
Due to provincial restrictions, there will be no luncheon following the funeral service.
