Jessie Hazel Hunt 2021

Jessie Hazel Hunt
November 16, 2021

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our dearly loved mother, Jessie Hazel Hunt, in her 92nd year. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Reginald Clyde Hunt, daughter Donna (Byrne) and parents Ernest & Hazel Earl. Jessie leaves behind to mourn her children Rosalind (Gord Kelly), Bruce (Shelly Brown), Linda (Alonzo Carroll), Carol Ann (Walter Butler), R. Clyde (Raymonde LaFurreur), Ruby (Tony Byrne), Paul (Diane), Kathy (Roger Parsons) and Sherry. Jessie will be forever missed and loved by her sister, Irene Noseworthy and Ruby Jewer, as well as her brother , Ernie Earl. Jessie also sadly leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The friends and acquaintances in her life were too numerous to name, but each was held dearly in her heart. A special thank you to the Palliative care program, HSC, for making her final days as comfortable as possible. A service will be held at St. Cyprian’s Church on Bell Island at 2 o’clock on the 27th of November, 2021. At her request there is no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to St. Cyprian’s Church, Bell Island.
Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little-but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me-but let me go
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go.

  1. Dear Hunt Family,
Ben and I and so sorry for your loss and send you our deepest sympathy. Jessie will truly be missed.
We thank Jessie for her kindness and generosity. She was truly one of the strongest, kindest women we have had the privilege to know. Thank you from the Morics and the Bennetts for all the support and care she gave to our dad, Stan Bennett.
    Love, Ben and Barb Moric.

  2. My condolences to the friends and family of Mrs Hunt, she was a great friend to my mom (Jean Hawco) and will be missed…we grew up very near her and her family when we lived on The Ridge, I will remember her as someone who always had a smile on her face and a great attitude to go with it…although she had many hardships, she always lived life to the fullest…R.I.P Mrs. Hunt 🙂
