Obituary
We sadly announce he passing of Jerry Mayer on January 11, 2021 due to complications from Covid 19. His stunned and grief-stricken immediate family include his wife, Dona; his 13 year old twin boys; Joseph and Christian; his parents, Allan and Joan Mayer; his two brothers and their wives Ken and Barbie Mayer, and Tim and Tanya Mayer; as well as his nieces and nephews Sara, Daniel, Autumn, Cinnamon Rose, Joshua, Vallary, Alexander and Andrew; father-in-law Howard, sisters-in-law Patsy, Peggy and family, Dianne and family, Janet and family; as well as brother-in-law Alvin and family. He was predeceased by mother-in-law Pearl. Jerry was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was loved by all who happened into his life. Born in Calgary 1963, he grew up in the community of North Glenmore. He played minor hockey (on outdoor rinks) and minor soccer. 29 1/2 years ago, Jerry had a diving accident causing traumatic broken neck injury- which left him a functional quadriplegic. This made regular life challenging, yet he never complained, ever. He taught with two homeschooling programs for 20 years. Jerry helped with his boys hockey and baseball teams and was an active member of the United Church. He will be sorely missed by all.
