Passed away peacefully at Hastings Centennial Manor, Bancroft, on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Gary Jentas, age 68 of Bancroft, was the beloved husband of Diane (Whitall) Jentas. Loving father of Kevin Jentas (Ali) of Calgary, Nikki Berry (Dave) of Renfrew, and Alana Jentas of Bancroft. Loved Poppa of Levi, Charlie, and Dorothy. Son of Margaret Thorley (late Harry Thorley) of England, and the late Charlie Jentas. Brother of Wayne Jentas (Sara), Marcus Thorley (Jen), the late Robert Jentas. Proud uncle of Fallon, Leah and Oliver. Brother-in-law of Fred Whitall (Gail), Bob Whitall (Shirley), Paul Whitall (Pat), and David Whitall (Martha). Survived by his nieces, nephews, and many friends. Gary’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Tabernacle (311 Hastings St. N., Bancroft) on Thursday, October 07, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow, with a private family service taking place at a later date. Due to COVID-19, strict visitation restrictions will be in place. (Guest registration, mask wearing and social distancing).
