Jennifer Lee Soucie (nee Shepley) passed away peacefully on December 24 2021, after a long and heroic battle with cancer. Jennifer was 45 years old. It would be wrong to say that Jennifer lost her battle as she never stopped fighting this horrific disease. She is survived by her husband Brent with whom she shared 22 years of laughter, love and adventures as well as her Mother Jackie (Shepley) Charette and step-father Milt Charette, Jennifer will be greeted at heavens gate by her father Patrick who has been watching over her for many years. She will be missed beyond words by her children Breianna (Colton) and Cameron (Kacie). Jennifer was a loving and caring big sister to her a brother Jason who she adored. Jennifer will also be watching over her wonderful step sibilings; Dan, Bob, Larry, Ken, Keith and Joanne. Jennifer was a devoted and loving Grammy to her grandson Brooks, who she loved to spend time with and spoil. Jennifer will be forever cherished by her many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jennifer was a dedicated early childhood educator with the GECDSB and has passionately worked in the childcare field for over 20 years as an RECE and CYW. Her family would also like to thank her team of doctors especially; Ken Schneider and Bradley Jasey and give a huge thank you to Erie shores Hospice for caring not only for Jennifer but her family too. And to the amazing team of staff on the 4th floor oncology wing at Met hospital. The staff alway’s went above and beyond to care and advocate for Jennifer as she was a “frequent favourite” and brought a smile to everyone.
In lieu of flowers her family is asking that any donations be made to Erie Shores Hospice.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life will happen at later date.
