Jennie Laura Crosthwaite 2021

July 2, 1970 – August 20, 2021
Our beloved daughter, Jennie Laura Crosthwaite, passed away quietly from cancer in Pinawa Hospital surrounded by her family on August 20, 2021.
Jennie was born and raised in Pinawa and always loved the quiet, peaceful and beautiful attributes of the town. Following graduation from Pinawa High School in 1988, she spent a brief period in B.C. but returned to Pinawa after about a year.
She was currently employed as a Home-Care Scheduler by the Interlake East-Man Regional Health Authority (IERHA) at their Lac du Bonnet facility. Much loved and respected by her co-workers for her compassionate and caring attitude toward them and especially toward her clientele, she will be sorely missed by all.
Left to mourn are Jennie’s parents, Christine and Les Crosthwaite, brother Paul (Shelley), daughter Irene Crosthwaite-Fidler, daughter Megan Mainer, son Teddy Mainer, grandson Aiden Crosthwaite-Fidler and Jennie’s partner Andrew Urban.
Special thanks go to Dr. Cody Clovechok and to all the staff of Pinawa Hospital for their compassion, care and attention during the brief, but difficult period leading to Jennie’s passing.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date to be announced.
Should anyone wish, donations in Jennie’s memory can be mailed to: Pinawa Hospital, P.O. Box 220, PINAWA, MB, R0E 1L0, Canada, or to a charity of their choice.

  1. Too short a life but one filled with the love of her children and family and fine camera eye for the beauties of the town and river. She loved animals almost as much as people from when she was a little girl. Besides her compassion, she was born feisty with a wit inherited from her parents. May memories of her love for them help heal her children. Thank you Paul and Shelley.
