Obituary of Jean J. Baker
JEAN J. BAKER Age 91 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday February 28, 2021. Jean was born May 8, 1929 in Rochester , NY the daughter of the late Marius and Dorothy Tucker Jacobs. She married her husband, Albert E. Baker Sr., on August 20, 1949 and he pre-deceased her on May 3, 2017. Jean was also pre-deceased by her son Donald Edward Baker on January 29, 1956. She was also pre-deceased by her sister Barbara Ann Cross and her brother Robert Jacobs as well as her sisters-in-law Muriel Allen, Florence Tenny, Gail Burdick , and Margaret Kowalski . She loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. Jean is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law : Albert E. and Maria Baker Jr. of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and Ronald E. Baker of Horseheads, NY ; loving grandchildren: Carroll, Michael , and Albert B. Baker, and Samantha Baker and Stephanie Baker ; great grandchildren Everly and James; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Donna and Bruce Sprague of Horseheads, NY , Merle “Butch” and Bonnie Baker of Odessa, NY , Kenneth and Diane Baker of Horseheads, NY, and Warren Cross of Montour Falls, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. It was Mrs. Baker’s wish that there be no prior calling hours . Graveside Services for Mrs. Baker will be held on Friday March 5, 2021 at 1 PM at Maple Grove Cemetery 715 West Broad Street Horseheads, NY. Jean will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Albert and her son Donald. Arrangements are entrusted to the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY.
