Obituary of Jeanette Lean
LEAN, Jeanette Adeline
July 26, 1940 – August 8, 2021
Sadly, but mercifully, Jeanette Lean passed peacefully in her home on August 8, 2021. She leaves behind her husband, Gary of 41 years, and her daughters, Elizabeth Gillis (Lakefield, ON), and Debra Gillis (Pickering, ON). She is predeceased by her daughter Denise Gillis. She also leaves behind her siblings Mary MacQuarrie (Inverness, NS), David (Vicki) Smith (Hamilton, ON), and Phonse (Agnes) Martell (New Waterford, NS). Her grandchildren Danielle (Rick) O’Leary, Jacqueline (Ian) Duguay, Michelle (Ben) Duguay, Joshua Gillis, and Brittany Gillis. Her great-grandchildren Nathan, Natalie, and Noah O’Leary, and Leo Oosting as well as her many nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her siblings Bertha Vogan, Ernest Smith, and Beatrice White. There will not be a viewing, but a graveside ceremony at Lakefield Cemetery on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 1:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy. Friends may send condolences or make donations at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling 705-652-3355.
