Obituary
Jean Elizabeth Delauw of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Aloysius “Loek” Delauw, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2021, at the age of 84 years.
She was born on August 17, 1937, in Cranbrook, BC. To parents Betsy and Fred Shaw. Jean met Loek Delauw in Cranbrook, BC in 1958. Moved to Crowsnest Pass in 1960 where they had their children and resided there until 1969. They then moved to Carmangay, where they raised their boys. After the loss of her husband, Jean moved to Lethbridge. While in Lethbridge, she volunteered with the Army Navy and Airforce Veterans club. Jean enjoyed visiting with friends and family, outings in nature, and playing card games. Family always held a special in her heart.
Jean is survived by her 4 sons Tony (Sherry) of Lethbridge, Frank of Drayton Valley, Lou (Diane) of Crowsnest Pass, Jim (Lynne) of Fauquier, B.C; 8 grandchildren Melinda, Dale, Alisha, James, Crystal, Stephen, Chad and Jackie; 12 great grandchildren; 1 sister Diane (Kurt) Shaw; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband Aloysius “Loek” Delauw; parents Betsy and Fred Shaw, and 1 daughter Patricia Ann in 1964.
A Private Family Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 25, 2021, with Reverend Trevor Potter, officiating. Interment to follow.
