Obituary
Janice Rose-Marie Kowch of Calgary, Alberta passed away on June 18th, 2021, at the age of 59 years.
Janice was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario on June 20, 1961. She went to high school at St. Francis and graduated in 1979. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Calgary. Janice worked as a corporate lawyer for ProGas Limited and BP Houston, and recently for the Alberta Ministry of Human Services – Appeal Panel Member, Community Involvement at the Calgary Zoo, and Calgary Big Sisters & Brothers.
Janice is survived by her mother Rose of Calgary; her brother Eugene of Vancouver; sister Ramona of Red Deer; brother Randy of Phoenix; brother Ron of Calgary; as well as nieces, nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her father Russell.
A private Funeral Mass was held at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church with The Rev. Michael Bombak presiding. Burial followed at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. A recording of the funeral service will be available shortly.
