With great sadness and heartache, we announce the sudden passing of Janice Smith-Schermerhorn at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, age 58. Left with beautiful memories are her best friend and partner of 11 years, Chris Wiseman, and fur baby Mittseeboo, parents Roy and Vera Schermerhorn, sisters Cathy (Dan), Brenda & Gail (Lloyd), daughter Tamara and son Trevor. Also left to mourn are her extended family, mother in law Gladys Wiseman, sisters in law Beverley (Tony), Valerie (Roger) and Kimberley, as well as many friends made along the way. Janice was a very special, kind-hearted lady who was very talented. She was an excellent seamstress and she had a love of gardening. She was also an avid beachcomber and crafter. She was always there to lend a hand where needed, or to chat with over a cup of tea. Janice will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place.
