Obituary of Janet May Sgambato
Sgambato, Janet May (nee Aiken) Peacefully at McNally House Saturday, December 4,2021 in her 73rd year with her family by her side. Predeceased by her parents John “Jack” and Norma Aiken (Hilts), loving husband Carmen and sister Dianne Furler. Cherished mother of J.J and sister in law to Ted Furler, Sam and Donna Sgambato, and Jim and Rita Sgambato. Beloved Aunt to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Dear friend to many.
Janet was a nurse in the ICU at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital where she spent many years caring for the people of her community. Janet enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing cards, games and always loved Sunday dinner. She was an avid reader and loved to pass time in her backyard watching the birds and tending her flowers. She will be missed by many. Special thanks to Dr Margeson and to all of the staff and volunteers at McNally House for their loving care and support to Janet and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations to McNally House Hospice or West Lincoln Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
Pre registration is required for visitation. Please click HERE to register. Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes (3277 King St. Vineland.) Private family service will be held on Friday. All of the current Covid-19 protocols will be followed including the wearing of masks. If desired memorial donation may be made to Mcnally house Hospice
