Janet Jan Elizabeth Baldassi November 3rd 2021

Janet Elizabeth Baldassi (nee Payette) passed away on Nov. 3, 2021, at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.
Jan was one of a large family, raised in Fruitvale. She became a nurse and worked at the Trail hospital and Mater Mis in Rossland for over 35 years. She married Pete Baldassi in 1966 and they spent 55 years raising their family and enjoying life in Sunningdale.
She spent a lot of time on the golf course, curling or playing Bridge with her Bridge buddies. She enjoyed summers with the Payettes at Shuswap Lake and with Pete’s family at the Whatshan.
Jan was happiest with lots of people around; socializing, entertaining and visiting with her grandkids. She had a special relationship with her sister and best friend, Jackie.
Jan is survived by her husband, Pete; daughters Renée Dahl (Sheldon Tennant) of Sparwood, BC and Rhonda (Drew) Stainton of Kamloops, BC; grandchildren: Garrett, Avery, Dylan and Carson; sister Kathy Maloney of Wetaskiwin, Alta.; in-laws Dan McKechnie and Lana (Dan) Rodlie; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents Gib and Bette Payette and siblings Jackie, Gord, Bob, Lionel and Donna and in-laws Bob and Jack Baldassi.
Special thanks to staff on the Third Floor at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Hosptial Foundation at KBRH.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with the arrangements.
