Our world has lost its beautiful Jane, and heaven has indeed gained an Angel.
Jane was born in Tynemouth, UK where her childhood days were spent playing on the shores of the North Atlantic in Whitley Bay. From searching for crabs to spending her weekends climbing with her family or helping her mom with her art shows, our Jane grew up an inquisitive sort. The Family relocated to Upper Poppleton for her formative learning years. She then attended Scarborough College (Teaching) in the Yorkshire region, and went on to work as an agent for British Telecom.
Jane came to Canada to raise her family and assume her role as ‘Mom’. Rearing her eight beautiful children into adulthood over a 40 year period was a challenge she embraced and truly relished. Her passion for life spilled into the pet breeding world with her coveted shelties and aviary projects becoming a shared home experience for all her children.
Her gardening and landscape expertise was her forte, as she freely shared tips while splitting plants and shrubs for visiting Family and friends … Jane truly was our family’s very own version of ‘Mother Nature’.
Taking up the challenge for providing needs in our community, she answered the call for our local hospitals producing scrub caps, care hearts, masks, preemie booties and hats. Talented and creative her Boutique Knits cottage business evolved as it gave her so much delight producing quality mitts, hats, and recently masks for sale within our community.
Her hearts pride was in seeing her children grow into young adults and find their respective ways and raising their own familys. As loving Nana, her ‘littles’ were and will always be gentle rays of sunshine in her world.
Forever missed, always in our hearts.
The family would like to extend their heart-felt gratitude to the comfort & care provided by the Critical Care Unit members at LHSC during her time of need.
Cremation has taken place, due to restrictions a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a time/location in the future.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to The Childrens Hospital LHSC.
