Obituary of JAMESINA MAE MORRAN
JAMESINA MAE MORRAN, NEE WHITE
June 25, 1940 – June 29, 2021
Jimmi passed away peacefully on June 29th, 2021 at Seven Oaks Hospital.
Jimmi was born in Grandview. She had a sweet personality and was kind to all. Jimmi met the love of her life; Dave, at the age of 18. They fell in love, married and set out to build a life together. Being a Hydro wife meant moving many times. They built many friendships and memories along the way.
Jimmi was a dedicated wife and mother. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. Jimmi was known for keeping an immaculate house and had a flair for baking. Rollmops and shortbread cookies could always be found hidden in the freezer. Every winter Jimmi could be found hurling rocks down the ice at the curling rink. The Ladies Bonspiel was always a favourite of hers.
Jimmi’s first job was at Great West Life in Winnipeg. In Grand Rapids she worked in the Hydro staff house kitchen. She took care of the produce department at the Gillam Co-op for many years; often bringing home bags of stray grapes. Jimmi worked at the Lac du Bonnet Personal Care Home before retiring.
Jimmi is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years David Morran in 2019.
She will be greatly missed by her children Larry (Susan), Heather (Les), and Stuart (Shelley), 6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Jimmi is survived by her sister Jean, brother Bill and their families.
In keeping with Jimmi’s wishes, no formal service will be held.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of JAMESINA MAE
