James Douglas Jim Lyons 1958 2021

Obituary of James Douglas Lyons
James Douglas Lyons, born March 6, 1958 in Saskatoon, SK passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 peacefully in his sleep. He was 63. Jim was predeceased by his father Bob Lyons and nephew Robert Lyons. He is survived by his mother Velma Lyons; sister Dale Franklin; brothers Bill, Don and Jack (Judy); along with nieces and a nephew.
Jim loved family and always enjoyed family dinners, especially mom’s cooking and her company along with his best bud “Candy”, mom’s little puppy.
Jim’s hobby was cars, cars, cars, and he could rattle off endless specs on most models, especially those from the seventies and eighties. His current pride and joy was his ‘88 black supercharged T-Bird, a rare bird indeed. The folks on the car show circuit will no doubt remember Jim with his big smile and a keen interest in everyone else’s cars and their stories. He never missed a car show and always enjoyed chatting cars on weekends with his coffee row friends.
Jim spent most of his life as a devoted courier driver, always having his clients’ needs at heart, often starting his day before 5 a.m. and always with the cleanest car in the fleet.
We will miss you Jim and you’ll remain in our thoughts and hearts forever. God has bigger plans for you. God bless you and keep you.
There will be a small family graveside service at a future date. In lieu of flowers we would encourage any donations be made to Diabetes Canada or the Regina Humane Society. Online messages of condolence may be left at www.paragonfuneralservices.com.
