It is with great sadness that the family of James Earle Sussey
announces his death on December 18, 2021 in Perth-Andover, NB. He was
88 years old.
Earle was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Geraldine Elizabeth
Banks who was the mother of his children.
Earle is lovingly remembered by his children, Doug (Teresa) Sussey of
Currie Siding, NB, Diane (Malcolm) Campbell of Oromocto, NB, Ronald
(Ewan) Sussey of Ottawa, ON, and Barbara (Eugene) Mclean of Richmond
Corner, NB. He will also be missed by his numerous grandchildren and
great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Earle was born in Fredericton, NB to Joseph Nelson Sussey and Mary
Jane Bruce. He was blessed to belong to a family of 9 brothers and
sisters. Earle was career soldier and was a member of the Black Watch
Regiment. He served in Canada, Germany and Egypt and concluded his
federal employment as a supply technician at CFB Gagetown.
In his younger years Earle enjoyed hunting, fishing, a good game of
cards (especially bridge) and shuffleboard and wintered many years in
Florida. He enjoyed the company of his friends to whom he remained
loyal throughout his lifetime.
Earle is survived by his wife, Bette Spencer of Fredericton and her
children Jerry, Randy and Bev and their families.
Due to Covid-19 there will be no visitation, funeral service nor
burial at this time. He will be laid to rest in Fredericton at a later
date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
