BYRNE, James (Jim) Kenny: Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, September 19, 2021 in his 93rd year. Jim, beloved husband of 57 years to the late Betty (nee Farrell). Remembered lovingly by his dear friend and companion Patricia Kemp. Loving and devoted father of Anne Hebden and her husband Andrew of Peterborough, Catherine Byrne of Ottawa, Michael and his wife Kimberly of Chance Harbour, Nova Scotia, Mark and his wife Judy of Lakehurst, and honorary son Kevin O’Sullivan (Judith) of Melbourne, AU. Cherished Papa of Philip (Rachel), Michael (Mallory), Hilary (Jeff), Genevieve (Justin), Ellen, Patrick, Parker, Duncan, Madeleine, Riley (Sarah), Keegan, and Great-grandfather of Kyla, Spencer, Miriam, Niles, Alice, and Corinne. Brother-in-law to Norma Byrne of Ottawa, Joan Farrell of Port Hope, and Fae Farrell of Lockeport, Nova Scotia. Jim is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Margaret Cook, his brothers Rod and Jack, his brothers-in-law Tom, Joseph (Bud), and Des Farrell, Tom Cook, and sister-in-law Shirley Byrne. Son of the late Joseph Byrne and Kathleen Kenny. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road, for visitation on Friday, September 24th from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass in the Cathedral of St. Peter-In-Chains on Saturday, September 25th at 11:00am.
