Obituary of James (Jim) Myles Lyver
Passed peacefully away on February 17, 2021, James Myles Lyver, at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Center, Botwood. He was 73 years of age. Mr. Lyver retired from Abitibi Price in Botwood.
Jim loved hunting, fishing, going for rides in his boat and spending as much time at the cabin as he could with his friends. He enjoyed making his daily trip down to “Myrls” for a cup of tea, a lunch, and a chat with his buddies. Jim was a very generous man and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He loved spending time with his grandsons as they were growing up, taking them on trips to the cabin, out to lunch at Mary Browns and telling them stories about his many adventures.
Jim is predeceased by his parents Edward and Ethel; infant son Trevor Paul Lyver; brothers Gower, Frank, Charles, Jack and Arch; sisters Bernice, Marie and Irene. He leaves to mourn his son Kerry (Monica); daughter Kelly; sister Joan; brothers Dennis (Ada), Eddie (Sandra); grandchildren Shannon (Victoria), Cody, Keeley, Gennavive, Amelia and a circle of other relatives and friends.
As per Jims request, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place for family and friends at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jody Woolfrey and the nursing staff on 2B of the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Center for the care and help shown towards Jim and our family.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of James Jim
