James Jimmy Howard Foley Tuesday April 27th 2021

James Howard Foley
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his adoring family, on April 27, 2021 in his 71st year.
Devoted husband of Nancy (MacDonald) Foley. Beloved father to Melissa Foley, Laurie (Ray) Caouette. Dear papa to Mitchell (Autumn) Hickerson, Ryleigh Spooner, Sam Spooner, Aidan McVicar and Shawn Caouette.
“Jimmy” will be fondly remembered by his siblings Walter (Carol) Foley, Wayne (Eva) Foley, Bob (Heather) Foley, Jeannie (Gerry) Meilleur, sister in law Jeannette (Pete) Simard, brother in law Danny (Carol) MacDonald and his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Evelyn (Hill) Foley, father Frank Foley and brother Doug Foley.
Jim was retired from Pyrotenax (Trenton) where he worked for over 37 years, some of which was spent as President of the union. He also spent a short time as a real estate agent and drove school bus. He was an avid golfer and long-time member at Murray Hills Golf Course, as well as a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge. He will be remembered for his gentle, kind and humble nature and willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need. He deeply loved his family and took special delight in watching his grandkids grow.
Special thank you to his palliative nurse practitioner Amber Babcock, nurses Shari, Kiersten and Cindy and his PSWs.
Keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation will take place and a graveside service and celebration of life will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Hospice Quinte or the Canadian Cancer Society.
