WATERS, Jim – Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Saturday October 23, 2021 at the age of 75. Beloved husband of Heather (nee Sefton) for 53 years. Loving father of Jim (Shelly) Waters and Andrea Waters. Caring grandfather of Jessica (Ty), Andrew and Adam. Dear brother in-law of Linda & Ed and Christine & Peter. Predeceased by his parents James Alvey (2001) and Mary (2010) Waters, his brother Robert Andrew Waters (1979), his in-laws Pam (2021) (Bud – 2009) Fisher and Al and Lily Sefton. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Bobbi Ann (Trevor), Ron, Tom (Ashlee), Ted, Karl (Jonathan) and Emma (Andre).
Jim worked as a mechanic for many years and was a dedicated supporter of youth sports in Niagara Falls. He coached many years both boys and girls Fastball and was instrumental in bringing Ringette to Niagara Falls. Jim spent many years on the executive committees of both Ringette and Girls Fastball. In his spare time he enjoyed playing slo-pitch and golf. Jim loved woodworking, building and taking on new hobbies like sign painting, leather work, turning bowls and pens. In the last couple years he took on two major projects he was particularly proud of. Jim converted a van into a camper and built a garage with his daughter Andrea.
Under current pandemic conditions, provincial restrictions limit the number of guests at visitations, funerals and interments. All visitors must wear a face mask and practice physical distancing. Jim’s family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Thursday October 28, 2021 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A private family funeral service will take place with an interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery.
