James Jim Charbonneau Monday November 8th 2021

Charbonneau, James –
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James “Jim” Charbonneau, on November 8, 2021. Beloved husband of Janet. Loving father to James (Kelly) and Aimee (Ahren). Proud and cherished grandfather to Daniel and Liam. Dear brother of Phyllis. Predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Eileen and his sister Linda. Will be fondly remembered by all friends and extended family.
Married to Janet for 53 years, Jim was a loving and devoted husband and father. The birth of his grandsons gave him a new place to focus his love and support, and he spent as much times as he could with them, attending all their games and just generally being a fantastic Gramp. Though his last several years had many health challenges, he kept his heart beating as long as possible, so he could be with the boys, and all of us, for as long as he could. We’re so grateful for the time we got with him. He was very loved, and we will miss him always.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. A visitation will take place on Monday November 15th, 2021 from 1:00-3:00pm, followed by a service at 3:15pm. Those wishing to attend must RSVP via the funeral home website, wear a mask, and socially distance. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences and donation cards are available at the funeral home or online at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
