It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that THE FAMILY OF Jalna Ryrie announce her passing on August 30, 2021 at the age of 75 years, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jalna will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Lionel Ryrie, her three children: Kristin (Colin) Webb, Jason Ryrie and Janeinne (Fraser) DeLouche; nine grandchildren: Alexander, Adam, Olivia, Randall, Logan, Brodie, Ryder, Reece and Rory as well as her five siblings: Connie (Gerry) Darbellay, Neil (Marie) Joel, Barb (Stewart) Gould, Milo (Aldine) Joel and Kathy (Rob) Day; as well as numerous relatives, special nieces and nephews, and very dear friends. Jalna was predeceased by her parents, Randall and Lila Joel. A Celebration of Jalna’s life will be held at the Paterson Community Centre in Bowden, Alberta on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Barbara Lieurance officiating. If desired, Memorial Donations in Jalna’s honor may be made to Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre, 4550 Madsen, Ave., Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.
