Obituary
It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Jack led a full, healthy, and independent life, up until his sudden passing on Sunday, May 16, 2021.
Jack was the beloved husband of Peggy Yucytus (nee Horrigan) for almost 60 years before her passing in 2017.
Jack was born in Lethbridge, Alberta where he started his storied hockey career which culminated in winning the Allen Cup in 1966 and an induction into the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame in 2008. Travel , though-out his hockey career, ultimately led him to the love of his life, Pegs, in Olds, Alberta. The only thing that surpassed his passion for sports was that of his love for his wife and family.
Jack and Peggy were blessed with a large circle of friends who became his faithful support until God called him home.
Dad (Papa) will be lovingly remembered by his children Michele (Steve) Zanini, Mimi (Bill) Daniel, Marty (Kari) Yucytus, and Melissa (Craig) Wiwchar; his five grandchildren Sarah (Nick) Stevenson, Josh, Samantha (Andrew Leal), Zach, and Jack; and two great-grandchildren Harlan and Norah.
Always giving back when he could, Jack was an avid supporter of many causes. In lieu of flowers please give to the cause closest to you.
No further arrangements have been planned at this time.
