Obituary of Irma Stewart
Irma passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Born in St. Marys, Ontario, on October 5, 1922, Irma Olive Stewart (nee Crago) of Owen Sound, was in her 99th year.
Beloved wife of the late Thomas Stewart (Oct. 2017). Loving mother of Anne Stewart (Eric Sargant) of Owen Sound and Valerie Legge (predeceased by Rodney Legge) of Southampton. Cherished grandma of Tim Mathewson (Amanda), Steven Stewart (Camielle), Wade Mathewson (Shari Robitaille), Thomas Legge (Michele) and Jenn Legge. Loved great grandma of Dylan, Mikalya, McKay, Bryn, Sonny, Maxim, Alex and Annie. Also missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Cremation is taking place and memorial visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. A memorial service to celebrate Irma’s life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Those wishing to attend the memorial service are kindly asked to RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home.
