Irene Pauline Przednowek nee Goetz July 29th 1923 May 10th 2021

Mrs. Irene Przednowek, age 97, died peacefully Monday morning, May 10th 2021, in her Vancouver home where she lived for 72 years.
Special thanks to those who worked to keep her comfortable at home during the end of her life. She passed away in her bed, by her window, exactly where she wanted to be.
She was born Irene Pauline Goetz on July 29th 1923, in Wilkie Saskatchewan into a family of 10 siblings, all of whom she survived. She lived and worked in Saskatoon before moving to Vancouver, marrying and beginning a family in 1949. Irene was preceded in death by her husband Casmier Przednowek, who passed away in 1997; and her granddaughter Katerina, who passed in 2019. A loving mother, Irene is survived by; two sons, Wayne and Bryon; two grandchildren, Kristopher and Rebecca; and one great-grandchild, Arlo. She was devoted to her home, her garden and her friends. She was always up for a game of Crib and she would likely to win.

She found comfort in prayer as a faithful Catholic. A private funeral will be held at Saint Casimir Polish Parish, due to public health orders the funeral mass will be limited to a small number invited family and friends.
Attendance is encouraged at the Burial to follow at Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby on Tuesday May 18th at 12:30pm, friends are encouraged to attend the burial.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Irene Pauline Przednowek nee Goetz July 29th 1923 May 10th 2021..
