Ira M. Moase
1947-2021
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Ira M.
Moase, passed away on Friday March 26, 2021 aged 73 years.
His wish was to remain in the comfort of his home and was made
possible with the love and support of his family, friends, Palliative
Care Nurses & Home care. Born in Summerside December
29, 1947, son of the late Carl C. and Roberta (Ramsay) Moase.
Ira will be sadly missed by his wife of 53 years Judy
(Clark) Moase, daughter Kimberly (John) MacIsaac, son Todd
Moase (Gaylene Fitzpatrick) and his grandson Dylan MacIsaac (Jill
Chisholm) who was his pride & joy as well as his hockey
watching buddy. They had many fun filled debates who was the better
hockey team – Dylan’s Leafs or Gramps Senators.
Brother of Joan (Dave) Sheen, Don (Cathy) and Everett Moase.
Brother-in-law of Faye Moase and Liz Clark. Also survived by his aunt
Belle Ramsay and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his Brother Edgar Moase and brother-in-law
Kevin Clark.
Ira and Judy are owners of Davison Funeral Home and
ran the business together for the last 42 years. Ira was very proud to
run his business and serve the families of Kensington and
surrounding area communities. He always strived to treat all families
equally and help them plan the service to celebrate the life of their
loved ones.
He was also a member of the PEI Funeral Directors &
Embalmers Association where he held many positions over the last 50
years. He was a dedicated member of the Mount
Zion Lodge # 12 AF & AM and
Prince Edward Chapter # 12 Royal Arch Masons. He served on
the board of Directors of the Kensington People’s Cemetery
and the board of Managers for the Kensington Presbyterian Church for
several years.
Resting at the Davision Funeral Home Kensington. Due to COVID
19 Restrictions no public visitation can be held. A private family
funeral service will be available to view
online on the funeral homes website on Thursday, April
1st after 3:00 p.m. Interment in
People’s Cemetery Kensington. If so desired memorial
donations may be made to the Kensington People’s Cemetery,
International Children’s Memorial Place, or the East Prince
Palliative Home Care Program.
