Ingrid Blanke 2021

Death Notice
Blanke, Ingrid – Ingrid (Lindner) Blanke peacefully passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, April 24, 2021 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her daughter, Gabriele Blanke (Paul Albers) in February 2021 and survived by her son, Andre Blanke (Michelle Rozeluk). Cherished by her granddaughters Jessika Gunton (Scott Sloan), Carlie Gunton (Jordan Cook) and Alexa Blanke and great grandchildren Asher and Benjamin. Born in Hanover, Germany, daughter of Hermann and Lina Lindner and sister to Gerlinda, Gudron and Gada. Ingrid spent her early years in Germany and moved to London, Ontario with her husband and children in 1965. Ingrid lived a full life dedicated to her family. During her time in London she was an active volunteer with the German Canadian Club. Ingrid had a strong passion for culinary arts. She was owner of Gabriele’s Restaurant and enjoyed welcoming and serving guests and also worked in the catering business for 20 years and retired at 72 years old. She was talented in the kitchen, cooking and baking and loved having her family over for Wednesday dinners. Her second love was gardening. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. She travelled to Germany each year to visit with her sisters and their families. They would hike in the Alps and in the Black Forest. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Chelsey Park Long Term Care Home for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. A celebration of life service will be held at a later time.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ingrid Blanke 2021..
