1927-2021
Ida Margaret Anstey passed peacefully away at the Notre Dame
Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, on Tuesday March 23, 2021, at
the aged 93 years. She was predeceased by: parents Edwin and
Katherine Rideout; husband Samuel; son Bert; infant son Eli Samuel;
grandson Christopher Young; brothers: Ernest and Jim ( Ina); baby
brother Frank; and sister Marion (Woodrow) Simmons.
Ida leaves with many loving memories:; daughter Eleanor
(Doug) Young; daughter-in-law Sheila; grandchildren: Tracey (Craig),
Craig, Scott (Sherri), Kelly (Mark) and Catherine (Brian);
great-grandchildren: Tylor, Devon, Abbey and their mother Kathy,
Preston, Colby, Jane, Kate, Tavish and William; Great-grandson
Beckett; special niece Kay Duffeney; as well as other nieces, nephews,
extended relatives and friends.
In light of the current Covid-19 restrictions, the health and
safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest
priority. At this time, there will be a private funeral service from
St. Peter’s Anglican church, Twillingate on Saturday, March
27, 2021 at 11am. Donations in Ida’s memory may be given to the St.
Peter’s Anglican Church Cemetery Fund.
