IANCU Afrodita nee Dragu August 18

Afrodita Iancu (née Dragu)
On Wednesday August 18, 2021, Dida, as she was known to friends, passed away at the age of 89. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 64 years, and will be enormously missed by her three children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, her sister, nieces and nephews.
Dida was a devoted wife, caring mother and inspiring role model who warmed the heart of everyone who met her. She will always be remembered for her bright laughter, her paintings, her beautiful knitting, and the delicious food and joie de vivre she brought to every family gathering. She will be forever celebrated in the love we have for what she taught us, the sweaters she made us, and the memories we will always have.
A graduate of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Dida was not only a valued engineer for over 30 years, but an exceptional human being. In her retirement years, she loved to travel and was delighted in having the grandchildren around, whom she loved beyond words.
A religious service for family and friends will be held at Church St. Geneviève, 16076 Gouin O., Ste-Geneviève, Qc H9H 1C7, on Friday, August 27 at 11 a.m. Family will receive condolences from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. For those unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the following link:
