On this day, July 22, 2021, Ian lost his fight with his demons and went to live with his family in heaven.
He fought a tough fight and will be sorely missed by his loving Mom, Sandra (Sandi) Benson, (Greg), Uncles (Benson) Wayne (Callia) Gary (Mary) Gushue, Uncle Tom, Aunts Rachael, Aggie (Frank), Mary, Philomena. Cousins: Bruce (Christine), Gary Jr., Diana. He had lots of friends, especially Dave Herker, Michael and Grace Pangam and her family.
Ian was predeceased by his grandparents Samuel and Katherine Benson, Matthew and Mary Gushue, Father, Joseph J. Gushue and Uncle Sam Benson.
Ian was born on March 3, 1973 at 4:35 PM in St. John’s Newfoundland. He and his mom moved to BC in May 1975. Ian was a very kind, thoughtful man, who was loved by pretty much all who knew him. He loved to make people laugh and tried to help as many as he could.
Ian was a hard worker and a very loving son. He loved meeting people and learning languages and customs, also some indigenous ways of life. He loved racing around in his car (fast) and see new places-mostly in BC and Alberta.
