Huxley George Warren 19412021

Huxley George Warren
1941-2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of
Huxley George Warren, of Upper Gagetown, on November 17, 2021. Born on
January 25, 1941, he was the son of the late George and Annabelle
(Johnson) Warren.
Around the age of 4, Huxley’s family moved from the Miramichi
to Gagetown, settling on what would become the Warren Road. Loving the
area where he grew up, he made his home there as an adult. Huxley was
known for his sense of humor, quick wit, and funny anecdotes. He was
never lost for something clever to say and would delight in making
people laugh. Huxley had many accomplishments of which he was proud:
he was a 40-year charter member with the River Road Lions Club, an
electrician by trade, an IBEW union member for 53 years, and an icon
in the community always willing to help a neighbor. He was an avid
reader, a solver of sudoku puzzles, loved to watch Blue Jays games
with Phyllis & Chrissy, and truly enjoyed hunting, and
fishing. He always said he never felt more relaxed than when fishing
the Millstream. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time
with family and friends.
He will be greatly missed by his loving spouse Phyllis
(Chase) Warren; children Kathy Lewis (Matt), Lori Ramsay-Gibbon
(Doug), John “Buck” Ramsay and Lisa Ramsay; grandchildren
Krystal Lewis, Teri Lewis, and Cam Warren; brothers Malcolm (Linda)
and Manley Warren; sisters Rhoda Harrison, Saundra Massoeurs and Inez
Paul, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear
friends.
In addition to his parents, Huxley was predeceased by his
first wife Jean Carol (Gardiner) Warren; son Kevin Warren; brothers
Sterling, Reginald and Donald Warren; sister Wanda Smith and an infant
sister Edith.
A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Anglican
Cemetery, Gagetown, NB, on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at 2 pm with
Rev. Wandlyn Snelgrove officiating. For those who wish, donations in
Huxley’s memory may be made to the Lung Association or the Heart and
Stroke Foundation.
