Obituary
Watson, Hugh Wyllie Sr.
It is with deep sadness that our family announces the passing of Hugh Wyllie Watson Sr. at Joseph Brant Hospital in his 95th year. He was the beloved husband of Margaret and loving father of Elaine (Randy), Bob and Hugh Jr. (Melissa). He was a proud grandfather to Colin (Alyssa), Laura, Beth, Emily, Jack, Charlie, Alison, and Owen, and great grandfather to Lilian and Johnathan. He was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Marie Louise and his son John.
Growing up in the Beaches area of Toronto and Etobicoke, he excelled at sports. He would go on to play Junior A hockey for the Toronto Young Rangers and play golf for the University of Toronto where he will obtain his engineering and business degree. He pursued a career in the oil and gas industry before becoming the owner of his father’s company, Kaddy Lac Golf Carts, a business that he would relocate from Toronto to Burlington (Aldershot) where he would help raise his family of four children. In his final days he took great pride in knowing that his family business is still going strong under the leadership of his son Robert and his children. He always looked forward to vacationing each summer at the family cottage in Cape Breton where he liked to play golf and spend time at the beach with his family.
He is remembered as a loving and devoted husband to Margaret for over 68 years and a proud family man.
In compliance with his wishes, the family will honour his life and death privately.
