Foerster.
Predeceased by his parents, Lorne and Doris McMahon and by his brothers Patrick, Gary and Brian also in-laws, Bill, Dale, Patricia, Don, Doreen, Terry, Bryan, Shirley, and Sonny.
Hugh grew up on a farm on the 13 th line of Wellesley near Linwood, then moved to Waterloo. He lived his life dedicated to his faith. He was proud of his association with St. Agnes Church in Waterloo since it’s inception. He was an active member of the Waterloo Knights of Columbus. Hugh belonged to the Waterloo Legion Branch 530 and both the Waterloo and Linwood Rod and Gun Clubs for many years.
In 1965, Hugh started his business as a painting contractor which he owned and managed for 45 years. Upon retirement, Hugh continued working on his passion of restoring classic cars. If Hugh wasn’t at the shop working on cars, he could be found at his cottage on Georgian Bay playing horseshoes, fishing or playing cards with friends.
Hugh and Elaine loved travelling. Although they have travelled extensively , Florida was a favorite often shared with friends and family.
Hugh was very generous with his time and would always give of it when needed.
He lived his life with honesty, integrity and respect. The values he has taught will remain with us
forever.
