Hugh Kennedy May 8th 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad Hugh Kennedy on May 8, 2021 after a brief illness.
Hugh was born on April 30, 1932 near the family farm at Nottingham, SK. He was the youngest of 4 children born to Joe and Kathleen Kennedy. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne (Thomas) in 2019; his parents; and sisters Doreen Wilmot, Phyllis Millions and Joyce McKenna.
He is survived by his children Leigh Kennedy (Murray Wale) and their children Daniel Kennedy, Jackson Kennedy and Mackenzie Wale; son Ryan Kennedy and his children Olivia Kennedy and Sarah Kennedy; son Scott Kennedy and his children Jaime McClary, Sheldon McClary, Brandy McClary and Taylor Kennedy; as well as a very special daughter-in-law Dawn Pugsley; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law Doug Wilmot; his sisters-in-law Carol Thomas, Shirley Thomas and Yvonne Lipka; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dad worked for Mobil Oil for many years and before taking over the family farm. A true old school farmer, everything was fixed or reused as nothing was to be wasted. His many inventions made his life easier and were time savers on the farm. He was not happy unless he was tinkering making something better in his mind, which did not always go according to plan but was always a learning experience. A quiet and reserved man, he preferred not to be in the limelight but his smile and jokes would light up a room.
Due to the current lifestyle restrictions, a Celebration of Life for both Mom and Dad will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Saskatchewan Kinsmen Telemiracle would be truly appreciated as this charity held a special place in their hearts.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Hugh Kennedy May 8th 2021..
